COMMUNITY SERVICE EVENT
Global Youth Service Day (April 15-17, 2016) is the largest volunteering and service event in the world. As part of Global Youth Service Day, a teen service event will be held in Lexington on April 15th, at 2:45PM at Lexington High School (Commons II). All Lexington High School students and any other community volunteers are invited to assemble “backpack lunches” for donation to local area food pantries, including Lexington, Arlington, and Burlington. All food materials will be provided through the generosity of donors . This community service event on Global Youth Service Day will highlight how important it is for teens to mobilize for social action. Teens can make a difference. Putting together backpack lunches means that hungry children will have a nutritious meal to look forward to and that we have put a dent in the fight against hunger. Please celebrate Global Youth Service Day by giving your time for a good cause. Help make a healthy lunch for a child in need. All are welcome!
